What a killer concert by Khalid this last week. I was privileged to attend on behalf of RCA Records (s/o to Michelle) and was able to snap some quality photos of the show.
It was a sold-out show, with the line to get in stretching a long way down the street. It took hours to get everyone in.
No opening act, other than what I assume was a local DJ getting the crowd hyped. Khalid and some friends came on stage during the set with squirt guns and blasted the crowd with water (it was freaking hot) and it was much appreciated.
Khalid was also spotted on the roof of the venue at one point as well, dancing and having a good time with everyone else.
Finally, it came time for the man of the hour to take the stage.
It was a fun, upbeat show where Khalid and his dancers worked the stage and entertained the crowd. Khalid and his band sounded terrific.
No opening act needed – Khalid didn’t disappoint. This young man (who is only 19!) has a long, solid career ahead of him in music.
One thing is clear – this is only the beginning.
