I was able to attend Dayshell’s concert this past week while they came through Salt Lake on The New Years Resolution Tour with Eyes Set to Kill.
IT WAS SO COLD!!!
Especially for these SoCal rockers, but they battled on and played a great set, nonetheless.
Dayshell is the project of Shayley Bourget (former Of Mice and Men vocalist) and he is what shines on all of their songs.
Granted, the band is talented, but Shay (also the primary songwriter) is the crown jewel here. His voice exudes so much passion and he has a truly unique voice, in a genre that always needs some originality. Shay brings it.
I was lucky enough to interview the band that evening. They were extremely gracious and friendly, down-to-earth dudes. That interview will be available first on the podcast, then written out here on the site. So stay tuned.
