It’s another new music Friday!
If you didn’t know (and you’ve been living under a rock) every Friday, artists release new music – whether that be albums, singles, etc.
It’s the best when lots of good music is released on one day! But that doesn’t always happen, so I cover it when good stuff comes out.
Here’s what I’m vibing this week…
Slaves, the project by frontman Jonny Craig (ex-Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa) has released their third full-length, titled “Beautiful Death” and it’s a banger! Great rock music with Jonny’s trademark R&B-influenced vocals over the top. This is their best album yet imho.
FINALLY THE PLOT IN YOU‘S NEW ALBUM IS OUT!!! It’s called Dispose.
Been waiting for this one since last year when I heard the single “FEEL NOTHING” and I was hooked on their new sound! These guys have been a very heavy music group until this point, where they’ve made a more accessible sound for mainstream crowds. Its hard to do that and still remain awesome (Bring Me The Horizon one of the few that has succeeded) but TPIY nailed it with “Dispose“. Highly recommend.
3LAU released “Ultraviolet” today and its another banger, for those who enjoy electronic-pop music. This was my favorite song from the album and the first song that turned me on to the group. Good stuff here.
For The Fallen Dreams released “Six” today, their first album in four years. Been a fan of these guys and their punishing metalcore/hardcore since they released Back Burner back in 2011. If you’re a fan of that genre, you’re going to love FTFD.
AND I’M A WEEK LATE ON THIS ONE BUUUUUUUUUT…..
I missed posting last week about Good Tiger‘s new album “We Will All Be Gone” and it was such a shame that I had to include it this week!
It’s hard to categorize these guys, other than just calling them rock, though really they are kind of djent-metalcore-hard rock with high-pitched singing and no screaming. So call it what you will…I call it good music!
So that’s it for this week – find something new that you love? Let me know in the comments below!
I have to say I was very impressed with the new release from The Plot In You. This single was definitely one of the leading tracks on the new album as a whole!
