August Burns Red has ALWAYS put on a killer show. I remember watching them back in 2005 back when all they had was their first album under their belts and being so intrigued by these clean-cut suburban kids who played the most brutal, technical metal.
Fast forward 14 years (wow I’m old!) and dem boyz are touring their 2009 album “Constellations” because it had turned 10 – and it still holds up – which is no easy feat!
It was an absolute pleasure to shoot these guys, other than the fact that security didn’t understand how their songs are very complex and they kicked me out before the full three songs were finished. Still, I think I came away with some pretty good shots, which you can see below.
Congratulations to ABR on having a career long enough to have a 10-year tour of their third full-length album – again – no easy feat! They never disappoint, and I hope these pictures do them the justice they deserve.
